Windows Phone “Tango” to be called Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh

Microsoft unveiled the first details of Windows Phone Tango at this year’s Mobile World Congress. WP Tango includes lower hardware specifications, and is designed to allow low-end handsets, like the Nokia Lumia 610, to run Windows Phone.

Stefania Duico, a Windows Phone executive with Microsoft Italy, has revealed that Windows Phone Tango will actually be called Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh. It remains unknown if he was speaking just of the update to existing phones (Mango to Tango), or also those that come pre-installed with this OS version.
