Amazing to see that both devices will be available during Q2! We don’t have those 6 month+ waits after a Nokia product announcement. Good Work!

Nokia C6 - Black

Nokia has released new firmwares for quite many phones recently (X2, X3, X6, C5), and the newest addition is the Nokia C6 that got updated to version 11.0.029.

Here is the full changelog update v11 for the Nokia C6.

Nokia X6-00 - Black Red

Nokia released a new firmware for their X6-00 phone. The new firmware is of version 21.2.005. The update includes the following changes:

This software release includes updated versions of several applications, such as Browser, Mail for Exchange, and Shazam. This release also comes with usability improvements, for example, in video calling. To get this software through your device, select Applications > Software Update, and choose the software you want to update. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.

Nokia 5250

Here is what is said to be a Nokia 5250, a replacement for the Nokia 5230 (and 5228). Nokia has previously changed the way they name their products, and this new model number doesn’t fit the new naming system.

The Nokia 5250 could be something that Nokia has been working on, and later decided to skip totally or just rename it. When you look at the phone, it actually looks to be part of the Nokia X-series, with its rounded corners and dedicated media button. With phones like the X3, X5 and X6 available, I’d say this could even be called the Nokia X4-00?

The phone looks to have Bluetooth, Symbian S60 5th edition and a relatively small touch screen.

What would you say if you could get a Nokia 5230 or a Nokia X6 with a Android on board? Someone in the marketing department of Three Mobile UK thinks that it is possible.

The ad above appeared earlier today on Oxford Street in London, UK. Pretty good marketing snafu from Three, since Nokia has previously told that there will not be a Nokia phone running Android in the near future.

Nokia X6 32GB - White

Nokia just released a new update for their X6-00 phone. The new software version is 21.0.004, and it can be downloaded over-the-air or via Nokia Software Updater.

Here is the official changelog for Nokia X6 Firmware Version 21.0.004:

This software release includes updated versions of several applications, such as Browser, Mail for Exchange, and Shazam. This release also comes with usability improvements, for example, in video calling. To get this software through your device, select Applications > Software Update, and choose the software you want to update. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.
As you might know, your X6 also comes with UDP, so you don’t have to make a backup before updating, but it is of course highly recommended.

  • Samsung I8700 Cetus - No specs on this, but something between the S8500 and I9000. Maybe even Windows Phone 7 on board?

Some really interesting phones we have there. Personally I’m excited about the HTC Gold, and the Nokia E7. Let’s see how this list turns out in the end :) Happy waiting!

Nokia today announced a third variant of the X6 phone. We previously had a 32GB and a 16GB version, and now the new X6 sports a 8GB internal memory. The only differing thing in these three variants is the internal memory, and of course the price. No word on when and where this will be available.

The Nokia X6 8GB will be priced 225€ before taxes and subsidies.
