Several sources have today confirmed that iOS 4.3 update will add the Hotspot feature that was introduced at yesterdays CDMA iPhone 4 event. This is a pretty cool feature that will enable you to share the internet connection on your iPhone to 5 devices in its vicinity.
iOS 4.3 is said to be launched in March 2011. Just sit back and relax while waiting for this update!

Verizon is prepearing for a big product launch on February 3rd. This fits perfectly well into plans that suggest that we will see a Verizon branded iPhone in the near future. Actually, this would mean that Apple will announce this in the coming weeks (before February 3rd). They’ll possibly announce it together the rumored iPad 2?
Verizon Wireless workers are not allowed to request a vacation between February 3rd and 6th. Regurally that means a big new product, and most probably it is the iPhone 5/Verizon iPhone.

It has long been known that a Verizon version of Windows Phone 7 will come in early 2011. This could happen very soon now, since we already see Verizon Wireless versions of Netflix and Slacker Radio in the WP7 Marketplace. Also their own My Verizon Mobile application can be found on the Marketplace. I’d say we will see a Verizon Wireless Windows Phone 7 hit the market in the coming few weeks.

The rumors around the white iPhone 4 just wont stop. This time we have the white iPhone 4 rumor combined with the Verizon iPhone rumor, sort of like a hybrid rumor :) The pic above leaked today, and it shows a modified white iPhone 4 with Verizon branding. This could of course easily be done with Photoshop. Another way to do this is to jailbreak the phone to run on a Verizon SIM-card, and modding the case with one of the known white iPhone DIY kits. I personally think the white color doesn’t look that Apple’ish, and hence think that this is a fake.

Last week the rumored Verizon iPhone was again brought to life by Wall Street Journal. Now, the New York Times confirmed this rumor with the following comment:
After more than three years of using only AT&T cellphone networks, Apple is now making a version of the iPhone 4 for Verizon’s network, according to a person who is in direct contact with Apple. Apple and Verizon will begin selling the phone early next year, said the person, who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity because the plans were supposed to be confidential and he did not want to alienate his contacts at Apple.
Verizon CEO, Ivan Seidenberg, will hold a keynote at CES on January 6th, 2011. Maybe this is the date the CDMA iPhone will be announced?

AT&T has been the only operator to sell the iPhone in the US, ever since it first launched in 2007. Now, this is about to change when Verizon will get the iPhone in the beginning of next year. Apple is said to begin mass-production of an CDMA iPhone, dedicated for Verizon, before this year’s end. The Verizon iPhone is said to be design wise equal to the iPhone 4, but with a CDMA radio chip.
Apple and Verizon has yet to confirm this, but according to WSJ the deal is sealed.
