mySpot – a Spotify client for Windows Mobile

FryWalker from XDA-developers forum has made a Spotify client for Windows Mobile. The program is still in beta, so it’s not bug-proof.

Features:
> Full implementation of the Spotify search and top list functions
> Play list support – easy access to all your favourite tracks (up to 150 tracks per play list)
> Choose your own media player – define how each track is played (GSPlayer (free) and PocketPlayer are recommended*)
> Album artwork shown by preference

As with every other Spotify program, a premium subscription to Spotify is required for this to work. Download the program here.

Video of Spotify on Symbian

Video showing Spotify running on Symbian(S60 on a Nokia E66 in the video). The application was earlier today released for Symbian.

Spotify now also available for Symbian phones

symbian4Soptify today told on their blog that the highly popular service is now available also to Symbian phones. The application doesn’t support all Symbian phones, but you can check  compatibility by visiting http://m.spotify.com/ with your phone.

I’d say this is good news for Spotify users, but a very bad thing for Nokia’s Comes With Music service. Nokia’s service costs ~130€ a year, and spotify can be bought with 9.99€ a month. So basically they cost the same, but for most people a monthly plan is much better than a yearly payment.

The application is now available to all three main platforms, Symbian, Android and the iPhone OS. So far there is no word on a possible Maemo support.

Spotify now available in the App Store

We last week announced that the Spotify application was approved by Apple to the App Store. Today, the application was finally added to the App Store. The download is free, but for the application to work you will need a premium membership which will cost you 9.99€. Get it while it’s hot :)

As a side-note, the Spotify application is also available for the devices running Android via the Android Market. Video after the break!

Apple approves Spotify for the iPhone

Spotify got today approved to the App Store. The software has been waiting for approval for over a month now. People were skeptical that the app would ever see the daylight, but apparently it got approved :)

The app will most probably be a free download, but it will require a premium account of Spotify which is 9,99€ a month. The app should be available on the App Store anytime soon!
