Sony Ericsson’s Satio today received its long awaited firmware update, that is supposed to fix many of the firmware related bugs. The update brings the version up to R1CA037, and is a 106MB download.

Sony Ericsson’s Satio received a firmware update today. This update should fix the numerous bugs that was found in the latest version, and which ultimately caused the phone to be suspended in the United Kingdom. Who knows if this one will fix all the problems, or if some major ones will still stay unfixed. Carphone Warehouse still hasn’t put the phone back on sale in the UK.

Vodafone have removed the Nokia N97 from their selection, because of the bugs in the N97. Vodafone’s forums have filled up with complaints about the issues with the Nokia N97, the biggest of them being the lens cover issue and the problems with the a-GPS . Both of these problems have been corrected by Nokia.
Carphone Warehouse have also stopped selling the Sony Ericsson Satio, at least for a while. They say that it is because of the high return rate of the phone. The problems with the phone are all software related, and can be fixed with a firmware update. Sony Ericsson is working on a firmware update at the moment.

Here’s a short video showing the prototypes and UI’s of the upcoming phones from Sony Ericsson; the Yari, Satio and Aino.
The Yari will be a slider-phone with 5MP camera, the Satio will feature a touchscreen and a 12,1MP camera, and finally the Aino will be a touchscreen-slider with a 8.1MP camera.
In my opinion the Satio looks very nice, and could be an marketeater from the Nokia N97. Video and links after the break!
