HTC and Rogers have finally fixed the problem that caused users to be unable to make calls to 911 when the GPS feature was active. The bug was only found in Rogers branded HTC Dream and HTC Magic phones.
Rogers will disable internet access on everyones Magic/Dream that doesn’t upgrade before 6AM today. In return for the trouble caused, users will receive one months credit on data.
As an added extra, HTC Dream users will get HTC Sense UI with the update. Those of you with a Rogers branded HTC Dream or HTC Magic, be sure to update your firmware as soon as possible!
