Nokia N8 Pre-orders Finland

The Nokia N8 can now be pre-ordered from Nokia’s own web stores in at least Finland, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. In Finland the Nokia N8 is priced at 499€, and Nokia tells that it will ship by the end of September. What we haven’t heard previously, is that the orange color is an Nokia Online Store exclusive color, meaning that you won’t be able to buy it from retailers.

The Nokia N8 is 479€ in Germany, 459€ in France and 469€ in both Spain and Italy.

techradar.com has received a tip that the Nokia N8 will be available as early as August 26th. It has previously been rumored to be available on August 24th, August 26th, or by the end of September.

It’s a nice surprise if Nokia acutally can ship the product on August 26th.

Nokia CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, announced the financial results yesterday, and together with this, also the planned release for the Nokia N8.

Nokia has previously told that the Nokia N8 will be released in Q3, 2010. Now we have a more accurate timeframe, by the end of Q3, in other words late September.

Symbian Foundation posted a set of Symbian^4 UI screenshots on their Symbian Wiki page. The screenshots have now been removed from that page, but you can find them here after the break.

These images aren’t of course anything near final, but gives you an idea where Symbian is headed with its UI design. Symbian^4 looks like an mash-up of Symbian^3 (Nokia N8) and Symbian^1 5th edition (Nokia N97). Hit View Post to see the rest of the screenshots.

Eldar Murtazin just posted on his twitter account that he has published his statement on the ‘Nokia Situation’.

The recent drama surrounding Nokia has thrown up a great deal of information for people to pore over and unfortunately much of it has been taken out of context or poorly understood, the result being that people are left confused and asking more questions than they get answers to. Since Nokia themselves appear to be contributing to the confusion by feeding blatantly false information through their official blog and interviews with the media I felt it necessary to give you the facts of the matter away from the corporate spin and PR machinery that Nokia is employing so you can judge for yourself.

He tells in the article that the Nokia N8 that Nokia is accusing him of, never actually was in his possession, he just had a few hours a day to play around with it, and therefore can’t return it to Nokia.

Head over to this page for a good read.

Update: Read the first comment on this post. Pretty interesting story from the_ultimate11!

Nokia today posted 35 sample images taken with the Nokia N8. I’m amazed by the quality the N8 can achieve! Keep in mind that these images were taken with a pre-release device, so the quality will still be a little bit better with the final software. The images are organized with newest first, so the first images should also have the best quality (in the gallery).

We all know that the camera on the Nokia N8 is good, but how good does it perform in low light conditions?
