Ever heard of a company called Nuance? Well, it has been countless times been rumored to have been bought by Apple, and that it is in fact the company that is behind Apple’s speech recognition software used in Mac OS X Lion.

Well that same company also has an app called SpeechTrans Ultimate, which is currently available in the Apple App Store. What makes this super interesting is the screen shots of the app posted in iTunes. The image you see above does look a lot like an iPhone 4, but it isn’t an exact copy. The screen is much bigger on this one. In fact, the screen could be 4-inches. The currently shipping iPhone has a screen size of 3.5-inches. It seems like the screen got bigger, but the size of the device will stay roughly the same. The image clearly shows the nearly borderless screen layout, which is a feature rumored to hit the next generation iPhone (iPhone 5/4G/4S).

Check out the Nuance’s SpeechTrans Ultimate app from the App store here.

Yesterday I was out with a few friends of mine. Out of six dudes, four had an iPhone :)

We were talking about the new iPhone that should be officially announced tomorrow. As you maybe know by now, the next gen iPhone will have four times the pixel amount of an iPhone 3GS. What better way to illustrate this than the one seen in the picture above! :) (picture taken with a Nokia 6303).

A new set of images has again leaked of the iPhone 4G/HD, which should be announced next week when Apple’s WWDC kicks off. These images seem to confirm the fact that we are going to see an all white iPhone 4G on the market, including the white front panel. We have previously seen independent leaks of both the back and white front panel, but never before have they appeared in the “same leak”.

We will most probably get a confirmation on the colors next week, when Apple is set to announce the iPhone 4G/HD or whatever the name will be.

With only one week to go until the WWDC ’10 kicks off on June 7th, I decided to put together a list of what Apple is rumored to bring on board the next generation iPhone.

The name for this device will most probably be iPhone 4G, since it is the fourth generation iPhone. The first gen iPhone was called 2G, second gen 3G, third gen 3GS and now the fourth generation most probably 4G. Another suggestion for a name is iPhone HD, because it is rumored to come with a HD screen.

A list of what is rumored or confirmed for the next generation iPhone.

  • A recent rumor would quadruple the current amount of pixels with a resolution of 960 x 640 (iPhone 3GS has 480 x 320). AMOLED is out of the picture with low production amounts and Apple’s need for enormous productions quantities of their components.
  • The phone will have a front-facing camera for video calls. Evidence has also been found in the current iPhone OS 4.0 beta that the 4G will support video-chat features via iChat.
  • The iPhone 4G/HD will most probably have an Apple designed A4 chip to power the device. This way Apple can optimize the chip for their needs, and maximize performance and battery life. Could be the same chip that the iPad uses.
  • The camera is expected to be bumped to at least 5 megapixels, and also come with a flash.
  • Some kind of ceramic back on the phone. This is also rumored to be touch sensitive, much like the surface of the MagicMouse. The back could be used to control the device with even more finger gestures.
  • It will come in two colors, white and black. Also the front panel will be white in the white version of the phone. Previously only the back of the phone has been either black or white, the front panel has been black in both versions.

Steve Jobs told reporters after the iPhone leak that we still haven’t seen a thing, and that we will not be disappointed with what is still to come. We sure will know more next week’s Tuesday when WWDC kicks off, and Job’s is said to announce the iPhone 4G/HD.

BGR reports today that the next-gen iPhone will come in June. This info comes straight from a worker at AT&T, so it should be reliable. Here is what BGR had to say:

Title says it all, but you didn’t really need a confirmation, did you? The phone will be available for purchase in June, not July, and from what we’ve heard, it won’t even be late June.

“It won’t even be late June”, could this mean that it will be available during the WWDC announcement? Let’s hope the iPhone 4G/HD will be available worldwide on June 7th!

iSpazio got a nice set of new images of the iPhone 4G/HD.

Hit View Post to see the two other images. Still waiting for the announcement that should take place in a few weeks.

In the image you can see both colors of the upcoming iPhone 4G/HD/4. I have to say that the white iPhone 4G looks really cool! This is the first time we’ll get an iPhone with a white front panel.

Apple will most probably announce the next iPhone generation on June 7th, so we still have to wait another 15 days before we get a confirmation on the features. Stay tuned!

BGR has gotten a few screen shots taken from an Apple iPhone 4G/4/HD Field Test Unit. In the images above you can see a ‘Video Calls Debugging’ option in the settings application on the iPhone. This is most probably to test video-call functionality on the AT&T network in USA.

This basically confirms a front-facing camera and video-call support on the iPhone 4G/HD/4 or whatever the name will be.

Now we have a rendering of what a white iPhone 4G could look like. Pretty cool with the white front panel that leaked a few days ago.

Another pic after the break.

A new image has leaked showing what appears to be a white front panel for the next generation iPhone(4G).

Apple has previously offered a white alternative in the iPhone 3G and 3GS line, except the 8GB 3G that only came in black. All previous iPhones have had a black front panel, but this is about to change with the new iPhone generation. Another interesting part in the image above is the area right above the earpiece. There is no word on the functionality of this “reflective surface”, as other blogs are calling it.
