Here’s a nice internet speed comparison video between the iPhone 4 and Motorola ATRIX 4G. Both devices use the same AT&T SIM. Would be interesting to know what happened to the upload speed on the Atrix 4G..

Intomobile put together a great video walkthrough of iOS 4.3. The preview is done on both an iPhone and iPad. Ejoy!

iPad 2 smartcover

CNN wrote an interesting article on how bad the iPad 2′s camera really is. Apple only stated that it will come with a 720p capable rear-facing camera, but they didn’t tell what megapixel count it will have. CNN thinks that it will be 0.92-megapixels. The resolution it shoots stills at is in that case 1280×720.

It seems impossible for Apple to put a decent camera into anything but the iPhone, and despite many hopes, both cameras in the iPad 2 are about as rudimentary as you could get without having to load a roll of film in there.

In fact, the iPad 2′s camera has more in common with the low-res camera in the iPod Touch than it does to the rather excellent one in the iPhone 4.

It’s extremely likely that the iPad 2 and the iPod Touch share the exact same camera (although we won’t know for sure until iFixit tears one open to see). It seems that it will be fine for movies, and bad for photos.

The iPhone 4 comes with a rather excellent 5-megapixel camera. The newest generation of the iPod touch has a rear-facing camera that also takes 720p video at 30 frames per second, but still at a lousy resolution of 960×720, which is roughly 0.7-megapixels.

Consumer Reports conducted many tests on the Verizon iPhone 4, and concluded that they do not recommend the Verizon iPhone 4 to be bought. This is due to the same antenna issue that the ‘original’ iPhone 4 has. Apple didn’t fix the antenna issue with the new design seen on the Verizon iPhone 4.

To improve the reception, the CDMA iPhone 4 still needs a bumper or something to cover the antenna with.

Medvedev Jobs

Back in June 2010, when the iPhone 4 was sizzling new, Dmitry Medvedev, Russian President, received a gift from Steve Jobs himself during a visit to USA. The only problem was that the gifted iPhone 4 was locked to AT&T, so no luck on using it outside of USA, without jailbreaking and unlocking it first :)

This was disclosed earlier this week when Medvedev’s assistant posted the following tweet:

@babdima тот телефон был с прошивкой AT&T, здесь – не очень работает:)

Sorry for my poor Russian, had to do a little bit translate.google.com.

@ babdima that the phone was flashing with AT & T, here - not working:)

Not a biggie :)

Two pretty interesting stress tests performed on the Nokia N8 and Apple iPhone 4.

German researchers have cracked the keychain file inside the iPhone. This basically means that passwords can be retrieved from a stolen iPhone. Passwords used in your Gmail, MS Exchange, LDAP, voicemail, VPN, WiFi and some apps can be retrieved.

Here’s what it does:

The attack works because the cryptographic key on current iOS devices is based on material available within the device and is independent of the passcode

If your iPhone is stolen, be sure to change your passwords everywhere!
