iPhone 4 Alarm Bug DST

Still remember that alarm bug that caused so many iPhone uses to oversleep a year ago? The bug is again active and has caused alarms to fail on January 1st and 2nd. However, iOS 4.2.1 seems to be the only version that is causing it, so if you’d run the newest version, you wouldn’t have these problems! I guess its time for everyone to update to the major new software version called iOS 5. This also means that owners of older equipment than iPhone 3GS are left with a faulty alarm, sorry. The problem will yet again self-corrent on January 3rd.

It was just a few days ago when news broke that an iPhone 4 catching fire aboard an airplane. This might not have been an isolated incident, since news broke that an iPhone 4 caught fire while charging at a Brazilian residence. Could this have something to do with iOS 5..? Who knows! iPhone 4S second most popular on Flickr
The iPhone 4 has for a while been the most popular cameraphone on Flickr. The iPhone 3G has been the second most popular, and the iPhone 3GS the third most popular. This situation changed pretty fast after the iPhone 4S was released.

Today, the iPhone 4S has been available for little over one month, and it has already climbed to be the second most popular cameraphone used on Flickr. It will be interesting to see how high the device can climb.

The only non-Apple cameraphone is the HTC EVO 4G, which keeps a steady 5th position in popularity.

Here’s one of the funniest ads I’ve seen in a while! Samsung decided to make fun of Apple fans in order to promote their new Galaxy S II.

Caution: Serious Apple fans who can’t stand being made fun of should probably not watch this video ;)

Redmond Pie has a great video showing you the camera differences between the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. As you know, the camera got bumped from 5 to 8-megapixels. The video shooting also got improved from 720p to 1080p.

Apple said the following about the new iPhone 4S camera:

The iPhone 4S camera gives you 8 megapixels — that’s 60 percent more pixels than the camera on iPhone 4. They’re engineered with a higher, full-well capacity to collect even more light. With more megapixels and more light, you’ll see a dramatic difference in the resolution and details of your images. So your photos look stunning everywhere you show them off — on your iPhone, your computer, or your HDTV. And they’re rendered pixel for pixel in prints as large as 8×10.

With 8 megapixels and all-new optics, this just might be the best camera ever on a mobile phone. It just might be the only camera you’ll ever need. And if you think that’s amazing, wait until you see your photos.

Let’s wait and see what the users can really come up with!

It is now official – the new iPhone will be unveiled on October 4th.

Apple today sent out press invites for an event on October 4th, under the tagline “Let’s talk iPhone.” The event will be take place at Apple’s 1 Infinite Loop HQ, which is different from their regular iPhone events that have been held in San Francisco.

It is speculated that Apple’s new CEO, Tim Cook, will present the next generation iPhone at this event. What we currently don’t know, is what iPhone Apple will release. Will it be just a speed-bumped version called iPhone 4+ or 4S, or the ‘whole’ new iPhone 5 with new internal and external components?
