Microsoft today confirmed that the much talked about feature, Copy & Paste, will come to Windows Phone 7 in early 2011.
Microsoft told that they will push both minor and major updates as OTA updates themselves, ensuring that the end-user always gets the newest bits of the software. This is a HUGE improvement from the Windows Mobile era, and also a better way to handle things than for instance with the Android platform. The Samsung Galaxy is well known to be a device that was forgotten by its maker. When it was announced, the phone was THE best Android phone from Samsung and it never got an update above Android 1.6. This will not happen with Windows Phone 7′s!

The Samsung Galaxy GT-I7500 received an update last week. This update will not update Android itself, but it will update Samsung’s part of the software. The update is believed to bring stability and better battery performance to the phone. With this update you’ll also get a new App, called Switches, which will let you enable or disable GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity to save battery.
The update can be downloaded via Samsung’s new PC Studio. The new firmware is version IH8.

Apparently the Samsung Galaxy will get itself a little brother, called Galaxy Lite. The phones model number will be GT-I5700, when the big brother is GT-I7500. Nothing else is yet know about the phone.
