Apple today started sending out invites to members of the press, and March 2nd is now confirmed to be the date when the iPad 2 will be announced. The event will be held in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10:00 am, on March 2nd. this is the same place where Apple has announced new devices in recent years.
Only one more week to go before we know everything of the iPad 2 :)
The biggest social network is going to host a ‘Mobile Event’ at Facebook HQ on November 3rd.
About a month ago there were rumors about a Facebook phone. Could this event be about a Facebook branded phone? Or maybe a mobile software that will bring Facebook Calling on board many of the todays smartphones. I’d place my money on the later of those, since we already have one heavily integrated Facebook platform called Windows Phone 7. We’ll know more this coming Wednesday, so stay tuned!
Microsoft just posted an event on their site showing that the worldwide Windows Phone 7 event will be held in NYC on Monday, October 11th.

MobileCruch has received an invite to an event in San Francisco that will be held tomorrow. Is this just another Ovi event on the other side of the world, or a completely different subject? Maybe they’ll announce something new? We sure will know more tomorrow!
Several gaming focused sites, for instance IGN and Kotaku, have also gotten their invite to Apple’s next week’s event, which could mean that Apple will make the next iPhone OS 4.0 more gaming focused(like it would be going bad for games on the iPhone at the moment). This could of course also mean that it is just because the iSlate/iTablet will be in fact a gaming focused device.
Consider these few additional tantalizing hints about the event, though. Myself and another iPhone games writer received invites for this event today, as did contacts at a handful of iPhone game makers. Why would Apple want us collected at this event if there was not some game-related news on the horizon?
This isn’t exactly news for this site, but Apple will hold an event on January 27th. Why I decided to post it, is because it’s possible that Apple will release the long rumored iSlate tablet, and possibly with this the iPhone OS 4.0. We’ll know more on January 27th.
