Samsung Galaxy S II Plus white
Eldar Murtazin leaked today an image of a device believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus. He didn’t specifically mention what device this it, but given that it looks a lot like the Galaxy S II, I’d say that it is the Galaxy S II Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is expected to get a speed bump to a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. The buttons have been slightly redesigned and gone all capacitive to match with Android 4.0′s overall design. As of now, Samsung has only one device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and that is the Nexus S. The Galaxy S II Plus would hence be the company’s second ICS device.
An announcement at Mobile World Congress in a few weeks is highly possible.

Eldar Murtazin just wrote an interesting little Tweet. According to Mr. Murtazin, Samsung is interested in overtaking MeeGo from Intel, and continue developing the platform further. The news come just a few hours after we learned that Intel will not continue developing MeeGo.
MeeGo was originally a joint project by Nokia and Intel. When Nokia decided to go Windows Phone only, they naturally also withdrew from the MeeGo project. Intel has ever since been developing the platform in-house, but this will apparently change in the future.
Please take this with a grain of salt since we haven’t gotten an official statement from Intel or Samsung.

Eldar Murtazin just tweeted that Nokia will use Qualcomm’s chipsets for their Windows Phone 7s. This is the same that basically everyone else is using to run Windows Phone 7.
I personally think this is awesome news, since Nokia has long been stuck running ARM 11 architecture at slower clock speeds than its competitors. The jump to Qualcomm’s chips would definitely bring a speed bump to phones manufactured by them.
I just can’t wait to hear more of this Nokia-Microsoft deal! Could someone just leak a prototype, please? ;)

Eldar Murtazin today tweeted a very interesting little tweet. According to him, Nokia R&D is currently working on 4 Windows Phone 7 devices. Two of these would be of Chassis 1, and two of Chassis 2. We still don’t know what the Chassis 2 will be, but it is rumored to be a cheaper version of the Chassis 1.
Here’s what Mr. Murtazin tweeted:
Nokia R&D – 4 Windows Phone 7 and 1 tablet (Win8 presumably). 2 phones used chassis 1, 2 based on chassis 2 – like HTC Ignate (middle end)
The HTC Ignite is something that came up a few weeks ago. It is said to come with a 800MHz CPU and a 3.7-inch resistive screen. Currently Chassis 1 requires a 1GHz CPU, and a capacitive screen.
Two Nokia devices that use Chassis 1 would be high-end, and the two Chassis 2 designs probably more in the middle-end range.

Eldar Murtazin is on it again, and this time announcing that the new Symbian^3 browser will be delayed till February, 2011. Here is what he wrote on Twitter:
Nokia postponed new version of browser for Symbian^3 devices to Feb2011. Again and again, they couldnt make anything in time :(
Eldar wrote this post in his usual style – all negative towards Nokia. Let’s hope Nokia can still manage to get this released before February, 2011.

What has previously only been mentioned by Eldar Murtazin, has now been leaked at nothing less official than ovi.com. Eldar hinted that Nokia is working on a MeeGo tablet, but didn’t give us much more by then. Now, the Ovi Store lists a product called Z500, which is most probably the Nokia MeeGo Tablet!
So far we don’t have anything else on this. Just sit back and wait, eventually it will be leaked :)
Could be one lovely device, with Nokia’s harware skills combined with MeeGo into a tablet! Can’t wait to hear more about this!
Check out the Ovi Store here.

Eldar Murtazin just posted on his twitter account that he has published his statement on the ‘Nokia Situation’.
The recent drama surrounding Nokia has thrown up a great deal of information for people to pore over and unfortunately much of it has been taken out of context or poorly understood, the result being that people are left confused and asking more questions than they get answers to. Since Nokia themselves appear to be contributing to the confusion by feeding blatantly false information through their official blog and interviews with the media I felt it necessary to give you the facts of the matter away from the corporate spin and PR machinery that Nokia is employing so you can judge for yourself.
He tells in the article that the Nokia N8 that Nokia is accusing him of, never actually was in his possession, he just had a few hours a day to play around with it, and therefore can’t return it to Nokia.
Head over to this page for a good read.
Update: Read the first comment on this post. Pretty interesting story from the_ultimate11!

Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review just posted the Twitter update seen in the image above.
Going to police. Finally I could see what Nokia wants and what they saying. First info from them in 2 months. Ridiculous.
There is an ongoing battle between Nokia and Eldar Murtazin. According to the rumor, Nokia blames Eldar from getting hold of pre-release phones (mainly the Nokia N8) by means normally not considered legal. Will be interesting to see how this turns out. Stay tuned!
