Verizon has posted info on how to update your Motorola Droid to Android version 2.0.1. The download is 10.2MB, and should take 6-10 minutes to update.

Just like to image above tells, head over to www.verizonwireless.com/droidsupport for the download. Change log after the break.

Motorola today made the Motorola Milestone official. It will be Europe’s version of Motorola Droid. We earlier today reported that it will be feature-wise the same as the Droid, but I have to apologize and tell you that I was wrong :) This version will differ from the Droid in a few very good ways.

It will have a GSM-radio chip, instead of the CDMA-chip. Then, it will also support multi-touch gestures, like the pinch-to-zoom seen on for instance the iPhone. It is weird why this feature isn’t seen on it’s USA version, but I’d guess that the relationship between Apple and Google has something to do with. And the third big thing that differs these two, is the lack of Google Maps Navigation, since it’s not available outside of USA.

Read the press release here.

motorola-milestone-pic1According to a German blog, the Motorola Droid will see the light of day in Germany. The phone will be renamed into Motorola Milestone, and it should be feature-wise an identical version of the Droid. The only thing that differs these  two beasts,  is the lack of a Verizon logo, and an added GSM-radio chip.

The Motorola Milestone will be released in Germany next Monday, on November 9th. It will be carried by O2, with a price of 404,20€(0% VAT).

This time it’s Motorola Droid vs iPhone 3GS.

Guys from phandroid have gotten their hands on Motorola Droid running Android 2.0, and demos Google Maps Navigation in this video. The video itself is quite bad, but you can at least see small glimpses of the application. Enjoy!

droid-site-1The Motorola Droid page went online earlier today. It was quickly taken down, but BGR got screen shots from those pages. The most interesting thing about these images is, that they reveal the final specifications of the Motorola Droid.

Hit read more for the images, and the specs!
