Nokia 5530 Firmware Updated to Version 31.0.005 – Changelog Inside

Nokia 5530 Black Silver

Nokia today released a new firmware for the 5530 eXpress Music. The update should be pushed out as an OTA update now. If you can’t get it as an OTA update, open up NSU and update via it.

The new firmware, v31.0.005, will bring the following changes to the Nokia 5530:

  • Browser improved
  • fixed: issues with Chinese characters
  • menu improved
  • fixed: Dictionary application can’t be activated by voice command
  • problem solved: phone hang when listen radio
  • fixed some date & clock problems
  • FOTA feature improved

Nokia today released a new firmware for the 5530 eXpress Music phone. The update should be available via NSU. Remember to make a backup of your system before proceeding with the update.

Changelog

  • Character missing  with Pin Yin input
  • Key pad tones do not work after updating with SW 20.0.080 800
  • LCD backlight stays on after charging,
  • Unable to download stream video in YouTube via WLAN.
  • Problem with some O2 sim-cards – SW hangs up in settings menu

Ovi Music Client v11.4.1 Released

The latest Ovi Music version enables simple One Click Album Download. Now you can also preview a 30 second clip of the track before downloading it (please note that access to some features may vary based on your location and available services). To get the latest Ovi Music client, select Applications > SW update and download and install the update by selecting Options > Start update. This is available for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, 5530, X6, 5230, N97, and N97 mini.

The Nokia 5530 just received an update for Adobe Flash.

This software release comes with Flash player 9 and ActionScript 2.0 support, and enhanced support for online video and music services. Touch usability has also been improved. Other improvements include Web browsing experience and defect fixes. To get this software through your device, select Applications > SW update. To download and install the selected updates select Options > Start update.
