Apple could be currently working on a free MobileMe plan. Currently, Apple’s Mobile Me service is $99 a year. With that price, you get 20GB of cloud storage room for files, calendar, contacts and emails, and a @me.com email address. MobileMe will let you sync files with your iPhone/iPad/Mac/PC.
No timeframe was given for MobileMe to go free, other than: “sooner than later… depends on certain facilities going operational.”
Maybe Apple will use its new massive Data Center they’re building in North Carolina for this?

What do we have here!? Android running on iPhone 3G! A few weeks ago we got a massive amount of visitors reading instructions on how to install iDroid on the first generation iPhone, and now I’m happy to tell that there is a 3G version waiting behind the door.
Only audio support is currently lacking from this release, so basically you can send and receive SMS messages but you won’t be able to make calls.
Next up is audio support–we’ve already laid the groundwork for audio support on the 3G and gotten it working in our homemade bootloader, so support for audio in Linux/Android will be coming in a few days.
Spirit was today released for any iProduct with OS version 3.1.x or 3.2.
What’s Spirit?
Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on the latest firmwares.
Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgrade if you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)
Requirements
Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
Syncing with iTunes before trying this highly recommended.
Note: On iPad, all this is still sort of beta. Some packages in Cydia, not designed for iPad, might screw up your system and require you to restore. Be careful. (And no, Cydia’s appearance is not final.)

Update: Can confirm that this really was easy. I just finished installing this on my iPhone 3GS 3.1.3, and it worked flawlessly.
Microsoft today demonstrated features of the Windows Live Messener for iPhone at The Next Web conference.
The app will feature SkyDrive integration, Image Editing and Windows Live newsfeed integration. Users will be able to grab an image from SkyDrive or Flickr, and edit it on the phone. After that you can send it to a contact on your friends list. Windows Live Messenger for iPhone will also support Facebook, so that you can browse profiles, edit status messages and upload images to your profile.
LG Innotec will produce a 5-megapixel camera for the iPhone 4G.
LG Innotek will supply 5-megapixel cameras for Apple’s next-generation smartphone, the iPhone 4G, according to the industry on Wednesday.
The electronics component maker began producing the sophisticated cameras at its plant in Gumi this month and will mass produce them starting in the second half of this year.
The news means that LG Innotek’s camera technology has been recognized in the global market, an analyst with LIG Investment and Securities said. As the cameras fetch high prices, they will improve the firm’s sales, he added.
Bloomberg news reported in January that the upcoming iPhone will likely include a more advanced camera. “Upgrading to a 5-megapixel camera will bring the handset into line with that offered by Google’s Nexus One,” the report said, quoting a Goldman Sachs analyst. The iPhone 3G and 3GS are equipped with 2-megapixel and 3-megapixel cameras, respectively.
Apple is expected to announce the next generation iPhone at WWDC starting June 7th.
Opera Software just released the first maintenance update for the Opera Mini Web Browser for iPhone. The new update is mainly a bugfix update, with only one new feature, and that is support for Hungarian language.
What still bugs me about Opera Mini, is the horrible implementation of zoom. It supports only two zoom states, that can’t be adjust to your liking. Still waiting for a bigger update for me to switch over from Safari to Opera.
Here you have the first official screenshots of Windows Live Messenger for iPhone. Microsoft will unveil the next generation of Windows Live Messenger, and the first generation of Windows Live Messenger for iPhone. An internal beta will take place sometime in May, followed by a public beta in June.
Windows Live Messenger for iPhone will include chat, photo sharing and a social stream for users.
