The same guy, comex, who’s behind the famous Sprint jailbreak solution has managed to port Flash to the iPhone. This isn’t a JavaScript solution, but a real Flash solution. Steve Jobs must like the guy behind this AND the Sprint jailbreak :)

This is just a preview of what he has managed to do, but a working solution could be headed to jailbroken iPhones around the world anytime soon.

AT&T previously re-scheduled the upgrade eligibility to anywhere between June and November, but now they have again moved it for a wide group of customers. The good thing is that they have moved it up so that many can now upgrade their current 3GS to the 4G/HD that Apple is set to announce later today. With a renewed 2-year contract you only pay the normal $18 upgrade fee.

This could be an indication that the AT&T exclusivity ends shortly, and AT&T is trying to get as many customers as they can on a 2-year contract.

Apple is set to announce the iPhone 4G (or HD) later today. The keynote that Steve Jobs will hold starts at 18:00 UTC.

Foxconn announced today that workers at the Shenzhen factory could get a 66% performance-based pay rise starting October 1st. Production line workers could make 2,000 yuan a month if they pass a three-month review process. Foxconn didn’t announce how this review will be conducted, and what they will require for one to pass it.

Production line workers currently make around 900 yuan a month, so the pay rise is enormous. The pay rise is a counter-measure after 10 factory workers committed suicide. Foxconn is the manufacturer of the current iPhone 3GS.

When your phone is sleeping, tap two times on the power button to make the screen bright. If your lockscreen is showing, tap three times to see the same effect(as in make it first sleep, and then the two times to light the screen).

A feature that could one day become handy :)

Yesterday when Skype 2.0 was released for the iPhone we got free Skype-to-Skype calls over 3G until the end of August. Many users complained about this, and now we have free calls till the end of this year!

Finally, Skype 2.0 was today released with the added support of VoIP calls over 3G! Calls will be free until at least end of August 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee to use this feature. Head over to the App Store and download/upgrade to Skype 2.0!

What’s New in Version 2.0.0

Upgrades / improvements include:

  • Call using your 3G connection. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until at least end of August 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee (operator charges for data will still apply).
  • Near CD-quality sound for Skype-to-Skype calls using wideband audio (SILK codec) on iPhone 3GS and 2nd generation iPod touch.
  • Enhanced call quality indicator.
  • Improved start-up time.
  • Fast access to the dial pad from iPhone home screen.

AT&T customers have maybe noticed that they can upgrade their current iPhone plans on June 21st. The date has previously been sometime in Q3/Q4, but has now been changed into June 21st.

June 21st is also exactly two weeks after when Apple is rumored to announce the next iPhone generation at WWDC. WWDC will take place June 7-11. Here is what mobilecrunch had to say:

Not sure if anyone [..] has noticed this same thing, but my Upgrade Eligibility date on my AT&T account switched from 11/21 to 6/21 in the last day or so. I bought a 3GS on launch day last year, and my upgrade date read 11/21 since then. A few other folks in my office have noticed the same changes happening to their accounts as well.

Check out this cool video. Super Mario World running on an iPad with a Wii Remote. This has been done on a jailbroken iPad with the snes4iphone app. You also need BTStack to connect the Wii Remote. Both needed programs can be found in Cydia.
