Sony will begin Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates in February, 2013

Sony today announced plans to update a few of its devices to Android Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. In a blogpost by Sony Mobile, the company announced that the Xperia T and Xperia TX are now shipping, and with Android 4.0 onboard. The said devices will begin to receive the upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from mid-Q1 2013.

After these, the  global versions of the Xperia S, Xperia acro S, Xperia ion, Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia J will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. A more exact timing was not released for now. Sony will update on the Android 4.1 timing a bit closer to the final release.
