Samsung today announced a Galaxy S III variant that will hit the States. As expected, gone is the quad-core Exynos SoC, and in comes a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 running at 1.5GHz. The US variant will also see 2GB of RAM, instead of the 1GB that the international version got.

As for the other important features, it comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280×720), Android 4.0 OS, 4G LTE or HSPA 42+ support, 8MP main camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot, 16GB or 32GB internal memory and a 2100mAh battery.

T-Mobile confirmed that June 21 is when we’ll see this launched. Verizon Wireless again added that it will be priced at $200, and pre-orders will begin June 6. Five carriers will release this device, those being AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.
