Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) Firmware Update to Android 2.2 Available Now!

Galaxy S I9000 Froyo Update

Samsung has just released the long awaited Froyo (Android 2.2) update for their Galaxy S users. It is now available to download via Kies, the PC software used for updating. In Samsung’s terms, this update is called JP6. This should eventually become available in more regions.

Ok Galaxy S users, are you ready for some JIT goodies!?

    there is no update available in my kies (current version) here in Austria :((

      im in australia and mine didnt either but there are ways of doing it i just googled it and followed instructions

    I just flashed mine with kies in slovenia but I had to cheat kies in win registry. Jp6 works smooth but It steel has laggy samsung rfs file system so don`t espect any miracles

      I also flashed my I9000 on Saturday. Had the Kies software timeout a few times with the download, but eventually got it working.
      The update removed the Android Market from my friend’s I9000. Will most probably see an update soon enough!

        the same happened to mine i had to restore factory settings, root it then update it to 2.2 and it worked.

      have a look at the OCLF (one click lag fix) in android market by ryanZA. You have to root the phone first.
