Official announcement: Apple iPad 2 – New design, Apple A5 (dual-core), 9x faster graphics (Press Release inside)

Steve Jobs today announced the iPad 2. It comes with an “all new design”, which isn’t that much changed from the previous version. It is however lighter, thinner and much faster than the original one.
Some info of the iPad 2:

- Same low-power as A4
- White & aluminum available from day one
- 33% thinner than iPad 1 (8.8mm now)
- 1 month standby, 10h usage

- 16GB, 32GB and 64GB
- Available March 11th
- 26 more countries on March 25th
- 1080p HDMI out (with an $39 adapter)

Official Flickr app released for Windows Phone 7

Flickr released their official app today for Windows Phone 7 (and Windows 7). Here’s what you can expect from the app:
- Swipe through panoramic blades to see all your recent activity, latest uploads from your contacts and all your newest uploads.
- Fully optimized for brilliant hi-resolution display. Tap on a photo to bring up a full-screen lightbox view and zoom in to enlarge and get close up on details in a photo. You’ll be able to access your photos in their original resolution, right from your mobile device!
- On Windows 7 Slate devices, we’re introducing “Context View”, a whole new way to get the full story behind a photo and discover new and relevant content. Zoom out from a photo in lightbox view and get more information such as other photos in the set, group, from a contact or nearby on a map.
- Geo-location capabilities display your photos on an interactive, full-screen map. Also view nearby geo-tagged photos from the Flickr community on the map as well for a slightly different view of the world around you.
- Easily share photos to your friends from your mobile device directly to Flickr and also from Facebook, Twitter or email!
Just fire up WP7 Marketplace and do a search for Flickr. Hit View Post for a demo of this in action.

Another day, another new ‘leak’ of the iPad2.
This leak again fulfills the specs we’re expecting the iPad 2 to have;tapered edges, flat back and larger speaker grill. We’ll know for sure when the final iPad 2 is launched later this evening!

HTC ChaCha renamed to HTC ChaChaCha in Spain

Those of you that think that ChaCha is a horrible name for a smartphone, are quite frankly correct. ChaCha apparently is Spanish for ‘maid’. This is the reason why HTC decided to rename to phone in Spain. However, they only added a Cha at the end of it!! So the new name is now HTC ChaChaCha. Good work! :)
