Firefox for Nokia N900 now available in the Ovi Store

Firefox for Nokia’s N900 is now available in the Ovi Store.

GLOBAL – N900 users rejoice, Firefox is ready to download directly from the Ovi Store. Officially released at the start of the month on the Mozilla website, the app has been working its way through the Ovi Store approval process and is now ready for N900 users to download.

This is a big leap for Firefox, as this sparks the first release of the full Firefox experience on a mobile device. There’s a ton of great functionality to get stuck into, and some new mobile-specific functions as well.

One of the best parts of Firefox mobile is the ability to sync with your desktop or laptop browser. Using the Weave Sync plugin, you can keep create a Weave account and keep all your browers in Sync. As Jay shows off in the video below, you’ll be able to pull up pages from your history on a mobile device, which you previously browsed on your desktop.

Check out the video after the break.

Nokia phone with Snapdragon onboard coming this year?

In an article in yesterdays Helsingin Sanomat, Paul Jacobs, CEO of Qualcomm talks about their co-operation with Nokia and what it will bring us. Currently, the only Nokia device to have a Qualcomm chip inside, is the Nokia Booklet 3G.

According to the article, we will see a Symbian powered device by Nokia that runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. This is the same chip that for instance the Google Nexus One is using. These new phones will be targeted at North-American markets, where Nokia is currently facing the strongest competition. This Windows Phone 7 Series phone should hit the market before Christmas.

Another interesting fact from the article, is that Nokia will next time announce new smart phones in March 2010.

Lettered passcode on your iPhone

Here’s an interesting passcode hack for the iPhone. Actually, this one isn’t even a hack, since it has been made with Apple’s own tools and can be used on a non-jailbroken device. 9to5mac used Apple’s Corporate Development kit to make this.

The hack will let you use letters in your passcode, and it forces you to combine numbers and letters in it, and will not let you use sequences of any kind. For instance ‘abcd1234′ is not allowed, when ‘adbc4132′ is allowed.

To apply this hack, you just simply have to open this file with your iPhone. If you ever need to get rid of this, simply go to Settings/General/Profiles/9to5mac/ and remove the file.

Windows Phone 7 Series ad leaked?

Not sure if this one is real, but at least it looks good. What do you think about this?
