Android guy

Many users are reporting that the most recent (Android 2.3) update for Samsung’s Galaxy S devices could brick your phone. A factory reset doesn’t help the problem, but apparently a hard-reset will fix it!

To do a hard reset on your Samsung Galaxy S, please follow these instructions:

  1. Turn off the power. If the phone is frozen, pull out the battery and reinsert it.
  2. Hold down the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and release the Power button.
  4. The phone should boot into a maintenance mode, with menu options Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage and Simlock
  5. Select Clear Storage by pressing down the Volume Down button.
  6. Press and release the Power button.
  7. Confirm your decision with Volume Up (Yes) or Volume Down (No).

iPhone 4 WhiteItalian mobile operator , H3G, is expected to start sales of the White iPhone 4 as early as April 26. H3G is Italia’s variant of Three.

Google translated tip:

iPhone white arrival, date of arrival in the stores H3G April 26. the product code is already open ….
The news is almost certain though not announced.

The news come from an anonymous tipster, so take this with a grain of salt. Bloomberg reported last week that we will see the iPhone 4 in white hit stores before the end of April, so today’s tip isn’t impossible.

Samsung Wave vs Samsung Wave II

Ever wondered how the Samsung Wave II differs from the original Samsung Wave?

The most noticeable change is the screen. On the original Wave we have a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, while the Wave II again comes with a bigger 3.7-inch Super Clear LCD screen. The newer Wave II has bada 1.2 pre-installed, while the older comes with bada 1.0 (bada 1.0.2). Other than that, I can’t really see a difference in them!

Pocketnow has gotten their hands on a video with what is claimed to be a HTC device running Windows Phone 7. What makes this video super-interesting, is the alleged 16-megapixel camera of this device. The device surely looks like a HTC Desire S, but with the needed WP7 hardware buttons.

Keep in mind that megapixels isn’t all that’s needed for a good camera. It’s all about picture quality, not megapixels. Currently the biggest megapixel count on a WP7 is 8MP, on the HTC 7 Mozart.
