Redsnow mac

The iPhone Dev-Team just released a new version of redsn0w, which can jailbreak devices running iOS 4.2.1. Cydia doesn’t yet work on this version, so I’d suggest that the basic user should skip this release. What is new in 0.9.6b3, is the ability for developers to sort of side-load their programs on a jailbroken device, thus making the developing process easier.

Apple has put together the video above to show you what kind of ads they’ve had no their iAds network. The iAds will be served in more countries starting next month with Europe, and Japan following in January, 2011.

WP7 MarketplaceThe Windows Phone 7 Marketplace now holds 2,479 approved applications in it. The last time I posted an article like this was on Monday, November 16th, and it hosted 2,184 applications then. So in roughly 4 days we get 295 new applications, a little over 70 new applications each day.

I’m certain that the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace will hit 3,000 applications next week. The Marketplace lanched on October 21st, so it will take a little over 1 month for it to reach the 3,000 applications milestone. For instance the highly successful Apple App Store needed 1 month and 30 days to reach 3,000 applications.

The Windows Phone 7 developer tools let you insert IE into your own applications. This was also done with the Browser+ plugin that gave you a tabbed IE experience. That plugin was actually its own application, and just used the IE inside it and added a little bit extra. So, for the end user it looks like an enhanced IE experience.

Now this same concept has been used to build and application called Visual Copy and Paste Browser and Document and can be downloaded from the Marketplace for $5.

Copy and Paste in web pages, documents, and your private clipboard list of sentences, paragraphs and documents you have copied and pasted. Export a document of one, or all of your copied items. Paste into most web pages when it is too small to type out by hand. Save any complete webpage to your clipboard to read later. Watch your copied text floats by when you select it.

Don’t get too excited about this just yet. It will just work inside this little modified IE version. But copy and paste now works at least to some extent on WP7. You still have to wait till January, 2011, for an opearating system wide implementation of Copy & Paste for Windows Phone 7.
