Nokia is ready to unveil two new Windows Phone 8 devices at their joint event with Microsoft on September 5th in New York. TheVerge’s sources familiar with the two companies’ plans say that Nokia will announce the “Arrow” and the “Phi” at the event in question. Both devices are said to be part of Nokia’s Lumia range of phones.
The Nokia Arrow is said to be a mid-range offering available on both AT&T and T-Mobile in the States, while the Nokia Phi will be a high-end device exclusive to AT&T in the States. AT&T will give the Nokia Phi their ‘hero’ treatment, meaning AT&T will market the hell out of it. Design wise the Nokia Phi will come with a large curved glass display as the successor to the Lumia 800 and 900 range, together with the familiar polycarbonate body. TheVerge also writes about a Nokia Atlas, which will be almost identical to the Nokia Arrow, expect for it being available on the Verizon Wireless network. The Nokia Atlas announcement will likely come later this year.
