Nokia has (finally) halted development of Symbian – Nokia Belle FP2 last major release

Symbian in maintenance mode

According to a post over at Nokia Developer indicating that Symbian development has halted. The post suggests that Symbian is now in maintenance mode, and that no new features will be implemented.

If this really is true, then Accenture will only provide bug fixes to Symbian until the support period ends. The last major release of Symbian is what earlier was called Donna, and later renamed to Nokia Belle FP2.
