8-pin Apple dock connector (USB)

The cable you see above is most probably the new iPhone’s USB-cable. It shows Apple’s new 8-pin connector that they’ll bring to the new iPhone, and possibly the next generation iPod, too. Apple has for 9 years been using the same large 30-pin connector, so it’s definitely time for a new and smaller connector. Apple is expected to announce the sixth-generation iPhone on September 12th.
