iPhone 5 front panel compared to iPhone 4S – Thinner, taller and tough(er)

We should see the next iPhone released sometime next month. Rumors have it that this device will be roughly the same width, but a bit taller than its predecessor. The taller design will allow for a roughly 4-inch screen to be fitted inside the iPhone 5′s shell.

The video above shows what is claimed to be the front glass panel of the iPhone 5. The new panel is roughly 10% thinner than the iPhone 4S’s. Even though the screen is thinner than its predecessor, it manages to resist scratches effectively. This probably means that we have Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 on board. Expect a lot of leaks like this before we see the final announcement sometime next month.
