Industry sources: Microsoft Surface RT to come below $399, Surface Pro starting at $500

Digitimes cites their supply chain sources who estimate the production price of the Microsoft Surface RT tablet with Office 2013 to be in the $300-$400 range, depending on the configuration. This would lead to the final price to be below $399. The Intel-based high-end Microsoft Surface Pro will see its materials cost roughly $100-$200 more. Sum up the earlier, and the Microsoft Surface Pro will be sold in the $500-$700.
