Eldar Murtazin who is known for his connections in the mobile world, gave an interview to Russin site Obozrevatel.com about Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 range. He’s been tweeting about the Nokia Phi for the past few weeks, possibly confirming that he has access to the device. However, they’ve been in Russian, and the only part that I understood from his tweets was “Nokia Phi” ![]()
According to Eldar Murtazin, the Nokia Phi will come with a massive 4.7-inch screen. This is the same size as the HTC Titan, and also a new record for Nokia. Murtazin wrote that the screen is very nice, which is quite unusual for the guy who always praises Samsung, and bashes Nokia. Maybe the screen is manufactured by Samsung, and hence got the praise? The Nokia Phi is thinner than the Lumia 800 and 900. A microSD card slot is present, a first on Nokia’s Lumia series. The only complaint that Murtazin mentioned is the battery life, which apparently last only one day.
Nokia is set to unveil three new devices on September 5th. Some of these are expected to hit the market already in October. The three devices will be priced in Russia as $935 for the Phi, and $780 and $650 for the “cheaper” models.
