Windows Phone 7 Connector for MacAs suggested last week, Microsoft was said to publish a public beta version of the Windows Phone 7 Connector software for Mac. Now they’ve pushed the button to publish this software, and it is available for Mac OSX Leopard and above (10.5).

Windows Phone 7 Connector lets you synchronize your favorite music, videos, photos and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to your Windows Phone 7, so you can take your media with you wherever you go.

WP7 Marketplace in Finland

As you should know by now, Windows Phone 7 is available in many countries in Europe. The Marketplace is currently available in the following 17 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

As far as I know, it’s possible to obtain a Windows Phone 7 in other countries than those that I mentioned before. The phone is of course fully working in every country, but you can get even more out of your experience by using the WP7 Marketplace. I am happy to inform that there is actually a way to use the Marketplace in countries that are not yet supported by it! This of course is just a temporary fix, until you get your own localized Marketplace.

This won’t get you an own localized marketplace, but there is a way to download stuff from any of the working Marketplaces. I for instance live in Finland, and I’m currently browsing the UK Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.

HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7

Windows Phone 7 has started off with a big bang, and New Zealand was the first country to get the new devices with the brand new WP7 on them. When WP7 was originally announced, not a single carrier in Finland was said to get the Windows Phone 7′s in the first batch, but that has apparently changed.

Vesa-Matti “Vesku” Paananen, Business Development Executive at Microsoft, told that the first Windows Phone 7′s will ship in Finland during week 44, in other words between October 25th and 31st (tomorrow!). Localization will still be missing for now, but eventually we will also get a Suomi localized version. That will not be a problem for persons that like to use their phones in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish.

Gameloft has published a video showing 5 of their games on Windows Phone 7. The video features the following titles:

Old Spice Guy Windows Phone 7

We previously wrote that Isaiah Mustafa will be used as a Windows Phone 7 campaign guy in Australia. Now he has made his first public appearance on Merrick, Dools and Ricki-Lee show on Nova 96.9FM.

Even though this marketing is targeted at Australia, I see it spreading to other parts of the world quite fast. As of writing this, there has been nearly 28k hits on that video.

Check out the video funny and interesting interview here.

Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac

Microsoft has previously stated the following, “Later in 2010 Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers“. Later in 2010 means now October 24th, so in just three days we’ll see a public beta of this.

Electricpig has been using this for a while now, and according to their post, the software is quite pleasant to use. It ins’t Zune for Mac, nor an iTunes replacement. You will be able to sync your iTunes and iPhoto libraries to your phone. WiFi syncing doesn’t work on Macs yet, so you’ll also need a microUSB cable to sync.
