Windows Mobile 7 to be released in late 2010

Phil Moore, Head of Mobility at Microsoft UK, has confirmed that we won’t see Windows Mobile 7 until late 2010.

It has been put back until late next year but it is definitely coming. You’re going to see a lot more onWindows Mobile 7. Giving the enterprise users and consumers what they want will be part of Windows Mobile 7. You’ll get flexibility on a much easier touch UI.
He also said that Microsoft is “still playing catch-up” to Apple’s iPhone OS. “It’s true, Apple caught us all napping. It launched something that was very iconic, new and unseen with a very good user interface.”
Be ready to hear more of Windows Mobile 7 at CES 2010, Mobile World Congress 2010 and International CTIA Wireless 2010. CES 2010 being the first one of them in January 7-10 2010.

The newest Windows Mobile builds for 6.5.3 (28002 & 28004) brings a new more finger-friendly keyboard into WiMo. Moving away from stylus-world into a fat-finger world.
AdMob's smartphone ad request report of October 2009 – iPhone accounts for 50%

AdMob released their smartphone ad request report of October 2009. Worldwide, the iPhone OS accounted for 50% of ad requests! Symbian came in second with a share of 25%, and Android came in third with 11% share.
In the United States the stats are little bit different. The iPhone OS accounted for 55% of all smartphone ad requests, Android came in second with a share of 20%. So the iPhone and Android accounts for 75% of the market, while all the others share 25% of the market. This is mainly because of the lack of Nokia smartphones on the US market.
