Nokia released the infographic above to show their Asha story in numbers. As you probably know, every Asha phone includes a lot of features at a very low price. It’s a perfect fit for those who want to get connected to the Internet but don’t want to spend hundreds of euros in doing so.
Nokia just released Belle Feature Pack 1 to three Nokia models – the Nokia 701, 700 and 603. The biggest notable change is the increased speed that this update brings. The 1GHz CPU will get clocked to 1.3GHz, meaning an increase of 30%! That’s pretty great for an update that is delivered for free. The exact software version for Belle FP1 is 112.010.1404. Other noteworthy changes include an updated browser (version 8.2), new homescreen widgets, improvements to the notification bar, improved multi-tasking view and Dolby Digital Plus functionality.
The update should be available now as an over-the-air update that is rocking 25MB.
Nokia announced today that Microsoft Office is rolling out to a selection of Nokia Belle/Symbian devices out there. The update is delivered as a software update over the air that clocks in at roughly 50 MB. After the update you’ll be able to edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (read-only) files on the go.
Phones included in this batch of updates: Nokia 701, Nokia 700, Nokia 603, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia C7, Nokia Oro, and Nokia C6-01. Phones that will get updated sometime later this year include the Nokia N8, Nokia E6, Nokia 500, and Nokia 808 PureView.
Chinese site IT168 has posted a gallery taken with a pre-production unit of the Nokia 808 PureView. They’ve posted 17 images snapped with this 41 megapixel behemoth. Since the site is in Chinese and also hosted somewhere on the other side of the world, I’ve decided to upload them to our own server.
The reviewer thought that the camera is “absolutely worthy of recognition”. Sounds good? Take a look at the gallery after the break to decide for yourself!
