This shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone, but Google today confirmed that Flash is not supported on Ice Cream Sandwich. This is the case until Adobe releases a new version of their Flash Player for Mobile. Given the recent announcement that Adobe will not release anything else than security updates for their Flash Player for Mobile, we can’t really say for sure if ICS will ever see Flash support.

Something that slipped through my fingers earlier this week, was the death of Adobe’s Flash Player for mobile. At that same time the company also announced that they will ship one final version of Flash Player for Android.

This day is today, with Adobe releasing Flash Player 11.1. As usual, this update is all about security. It actually plugs 12 critical security flaws in the software.

Fire up Android Market to get your final bits of Adobe Flash Player for Android!

Nokia Drive on Omnia 7

Nokia Drive is one of the great features that we’ll see on Nokia’s Windows Phone hardware. While Nokia decided to release Nokia Drive to every Windows Phone out there, the voice navigation feature will remain a Nokia exclusive.

Some Windows Phone hackers have managed to port the full voice navigation feature of this application to run on a Samsung Omnia 7. It is just a matter of time before they manage to port it to other Windows Phone hardware, too.

Nuance Swype logo

This is my next got a confirmation from Nuance that the company has acquired Swype for “approximately $100 million.”

Nuance makes the popular Dragon dictation software, and also the powers many voice recognition solutions in today’s smartphones. Also, Apple’s Siri is rumored to be powered by Nuance’s technology.

Swype again is a software keyboard which allows the user to slide over the keyboard with his finger, without the time-consuming tapping that is usually associated with touchscreen typing.

Nokia Link

Nokia released a new tool called Nokia Link. This will enable you to transfer files between your N9, PC, and Mac. This software is a really lightweight file-syncing solution. It doesn’t do anything extra, it just syncs your files. Awesome!

Here is the official description.

Your phone and computer – connected with Nokia Link
Move your music, photos, and videos easily between your phone and a Windows or Mac computer. With Nokia Link, your media files are always where you need them.
You can also copy mobile content to your favourite applications on the computer, like Windows Media Player and iTunes.

The Windows installer is just under 10MB, whiel the Mac DMG is just under 25MB. Head over to this page for the download link. Let’s hope Nokia will add support for more phones to this software. It currently supports only the Nokia N9.

The Windows Phone 7.5 Mango release should go live any minute now. Intagram for iPhone received a massive update to version 2.0 today. This adds, amongst other features, 4 new filters, 10x higher resolution, live filters, and a borderless option.

Here is a description of what the new features do:

Live filters – so fast, we let you see them live
See the world through Instagram’s stunning effects before you even snap a photo. Simply select a filter, hold the camera up to the scene and see the world through Instagram’s visual effects. We’ve re-written your favorite Instagram filters to be over 200x faster so even after having taken a photo, switching between them takes no time at all.

Four new filters
You’ve asked for more, and we’re excited to provide four brand new filters: Amaro, Rise, Hudson, and Valencia. With these new filters, we continue the trend of turning regular photos into beautiful snapshots. What’s most exciting to us is that we’ve teamed up with @colerise, an extremely popular Instagrammer, to produce these new effects. Keep your eye out for more collaborations to come.

Instant tilt-shift
Selective blur over 100X faster than before. Pinch, pan and rotate tilt-shift to give your photos unparalleled depth of field with live preview included.

High-resolution photos – 10x larger than before
Clarity and detail with every shot. By far, the most requested feature from both pros and amateurs alike, we’ve increased our photo size from 612×612 to 1936×1936 on the iPhone 4 (1536×1536 on the iPhone3GS). You’ll capture beautiful moments in all their detailed glory.

Borders now optional
The creative flexibility you asked for. Turn every filter’s border on or off to fit the mood and aesthetic of the scene.

One-click rotation
Easily rotate photos within the camera. No more sideways photos. Use our simple controls to make sure you’ve got the right orientation every time.

New icon
We updated our app icon! It’s the same look, but with more depth and dimension.
