There shouldn’t be any doubt on which company has helped evolve the mobile industry the most. The answer is Nokia. We’ve seen innovation after innovation created by Nokia. Nokia is currently sitting on a pretty large stack of patents related to the mobile industry, and practically everyone pays Nokia in royalties. The 5-minute video above is made to celebrate a whopping 25 years of innovation (and 25 years of me ;) ) from Nokia.

Great job, Nokia!

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone, but Google today confirmed that Flash is not supported on Ice Cream Sandwich. This is the case until Adobe releases a new version of their Flash Player for Mobile. Given the recent announcement that Adobe will not release anything else than security updates for their Flash Player for Mobile, we can’t really say for sure if ICS will ever see Flash support.

Nokia BL-5C

Researcher at Northwestern University claim to have improved the lithium ion battery to be ten times more powerful than current batteries. The battery is also said to charge ten times faster than what we have today.

The only downside with the new battery is that it degenerates much faster, and can withstand roughly 150 full charge cycles. Then again, if it holds ten times the amount of today’s batteries, it obviously wouldn’t need to be recharged as often. Does a battery today withstand 1500 full charge cycles? I think not.

The target is to get the new battery technology into consumer products in three to five years.

Nokia showed a very interesting looking flexible smartphone display prototype at Nokia World yesterday. The prototype was called a ‘Nokia kinetic device’. Nothing else was mentioned about the display than the fact that it’s a real OLED display.

Pretty cool don’t you think?

Booredatwork had a tour at Nokia’s San Diego phone testing facilities. Nokia’s hardware is expected to last through a lot of usage, and this is ensured by a rough testing phase. Needless to say, Nokia’s Windows Phones that will be announced tomorrow will also need to go through this same tasting. Enjoy the video!

Here’s the new ‘Will it Blend?’ with the iPhone 4S going in the blender.

Hot on the heels of the iPhone 4S launch, the Apple rumors just keep on coming. The newest is of the iPad 3, which is allegedly going into production before the end of this year.

Susquehanna Financial analyst Jeff Fidacaro told about the company’s market analysis to AllThingsD. According to their report, Apple has increased their fourth quarter iPad builds to between 12 and 14 million from 11 to 13 million. The increased quota is due to the iPad 3 production. An early manufacturing like this could indicate that we’ll see the iPad 3 released in early 2012.

Hello!

I had to evacuate from the place where I live here in Bangkok, Thailand, due to floods moving too close. Actually, the area where I live normally, is now covered with water, so it was a last minute save for me. Due to me being outside of my house, I will not be able to update this site as I wish. I’ll try to post as often as possible, but unfortunately this isn’t going to be the usual 4-10 articles a day :(
