Pretty neat little feature in IE on Windows Phone 7. It can load content in different tabs in the background, and as far as I know, this isn’t currently available on other platforms.

Windows Phone 7 With Sense

An anonymous tipster sent the pic above to pocketnow, and he/she claims that it is how Sense UI will look on Windows Phone 7.

Microsoft has previously stated that UI customization can’t be done in any other way than by customizing the way tiles look in WP7. In the picture above you can see the clock with Sense, and also the weather tile in a Sense flavor. Keep in mind that this is just a rumor, and for instance the star-fog on the right side doesn’t look that professional. Also the background color on the clock tile is a little bit off.

HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 capable device has leaked. Specs for this unknown device are as follows:

  • 3.7″ SLCD screen (Sony’s ‘Super TFT LCD’)
  • 3 touch-sensitive buttons underneath the screen
  • 8MP camera - Without Flash?
  • 1GHz Snapdragon Processor
  • No visible HTC customizations

Sounds like a HTC Desire but with WP7 on board. Hit View Post to see the rest of the pictures.

Browser war between an iPhone 3GS and Samsung’s prototype Windows Phone 7 device called Taylor.

Keep in mind that WP7 isn’t a final version in this video.

Windows Phone 77

Microsoft has announced 5 hardware partners that it will rely on to bring the latest and greatest hardware for the Windows Phone 7 launch later this year. The launch partners are:

  1. HTC
  2. Dell
  3. LG
  4. Samsung
  5. Acer

Greg Sullivan, senior product manager at Microsoft, confirmed these partners in an interview with Pocket-Lint. Good to see that basically every Windows Mobile 6 manufacturer is in the game.

Microsoft today released a UI Design and Interaction Guide for Windows Phone 7. This includes basic design guidelines, and also a closer look at how Windows Phone 7 will look like.

You can find out how the themes will look like, how the status bar will function, how the notification system works, the function on all six hardware buttons and so on.
