Here is a comparison video of startup times of Windows Phone 7, Android, iOS and Windows Mobile.

The attending devices are as follows:

  • iOS 4 – iPhone 4
  • Android 2.2 – Nexus One
  • Windows Phone 7 – LG Panther
  • Windows Mobile 6 – HTC HD2

Check out this browser comparison between the LG Panther (Windows Phone 7), iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) and Nexus One (Android 2.2).

Pretty neat little feature in IE on Windows Phone 7. It can load content in different tabs in the background, and as far as I know, this isn’t currently available on other platforms.

LG Panther - GW910

LG’s representative has told PCWorld that we will get the first LG manufactured Windows Phone 7 device by the end of September! That means that we will see a Windows Phone 7 release in the coming 60 days! We’ll most probably see a LG Panther, GW910, at the launch event, but will there be something more?

“We have a deep relationship with Microsoft so expect to have a couple by the end of this year,” said Ken Hong, an LG representative in Seoul, South Korea.

Could we get the rumored E900 and C900 later this year?

Pretty cool Windows Phone 7 demo on the LG Panther. The video was shot at an Windows Phone 7 event in the Netherlands last week, so the phone should run a pretty recent build of WP7.

At the end of the video you can see a glimpse of Windows Phone 7′s Start-up process.

Mobileburn has managed to catch the Windows Mobile 6.5 capable phone on video. The 1GHz phone will also have a 3.2MP camera and a full QWERTY-keyboard.

The LG Fathom will be released during this week, so we’ll know more soon!

A new set of images of the LG Panther was today shown by Microsoft UK. What makes this phone interesting is the fact that it runs on Windows Phone 7.

Here is what electirpg had to say about the LG Panther and Windows Phone 7 in general.

Windows Phone 7 has come on leaps and bounds since we saw a skeletal version of it in action back at Mobile World Congress in February: so much so in fact that a senior Microsoft exec has been using this LG Windows Phone 7 prototype as their own personal handset for daily use.

We’re much more excited seeing that unusual homescreen bursting with info this time round (in an amusing, if impractical touch, a smiley faces turns to a frown the more unread texts you have) and we have to say, it’s certainly much nippier now, with a working calendar that can detect addresses in text and proffer up speedy Bing maps, and frankly astounding looking Office support that puts Google Docs access on mobiles to shame.

The screen on the LG Windows Phone 7 model is also a vast improvement on the poor display on the original Windows Phone 7 prototype shown at Barcelona, and it really felt like a finished product on the outside at least, with a sturdy sliding mechanism and decent landscape keyboard.
