Apple has delayed the release of iOS 5.0.2 due to “address-based memory leaks.” The update was rumored to go live this week. The world is expecting Apple to release the minor update as soon as possible, and hopes are high that it will address poor battery life of iOS 5. A new release schedule for iOS 5.0.2 has not yet been set.
Apple to release iOS 5.0.2 next week, iOS 5.1 soon?
Jonne Eilimö | November 17, 2011 04:54 UTC | 0 comments | sourceEven though iOS 5.0.1 was released just a few days ago, Apple is prepearing to release an update to it soon. For some users iOS 5.0.1 fixed ‘batterygate’, but for many the problem still exists. Now it appears that Apple is preparing to release iOS 5.0.2 to fix the rapid battery drain issue for good. Rumors suggest that we’ll see the update released next week.
Apple is also hard at work to bring iOS 5.1 to customers. This update is said to bring new features to Siri. The new features would enable the virtual assistant to snap photos, record video, and modify phone settings. “Siri, enable WiFi” sounds great, doesn’t it?
iOS 5.0.1 still doesn’t fix ‘batterygate’

Most complaints have come from iPhone 4S owners, but also some owners of older hardware have noticed drastic decreases in battery life. iOS 5.0.1 was supposed to fix this issue, but new reports indicate that this wasn’t the case for everyone. Let’s hope Apple gets it together, and releases iOS 5.0.2 soon!

Happy people around the world are currently receiving their very own iPhone 4S. We saw many rumors ahead of the launch that there could be a possible iPhone 5 on track, too. This wasn’t the case, and Apple only released the slightly upgraded iPhone 4S. It now appears that the iPhone 5 would be on track for a summer release.CNET reported that Steve Jobs was heading the iPhone 5 project, while a different team developed the iPhone 4s. A production problem caused the delay of the iPhone 5, and Apple decided to release the iPhone 4s before the holiday season. Apple now has time to work out the kinks in the production, and release the iPhone 5 in summer 2012. The iPhone 5 is said to be thinner, lighter and have a teardrop design.
