Rockstar has finally released the long awaited Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars game for the iPhone.

Chinatown Wars for the iPhone seems to lie somewhere in between the DS and PSP versions in regards to graphical quality, but as far as pure GTA gameplay, everything so far seems intact. (Complete with an awful lot of swearing.)

I have to say that this game is for me a must have! Currently, it’s priced at 7.99€ in the App Store. Check out a gameplay video after the break.

This blows away the “Nude It” application by processing infrared light through a specific light filter….Breakthrough technology (no pun intended ;)

According to CNET, Apple has released a beta version of their iPhone SDK 4.0 to selected developers. CNET received the following email from a “prominant application developer”:

Just wanted to give you a heads up that we’ve submitted an updated app for the new iPhone OS 4.0 software.

I’d take this with a grain of salt, but you can decide for yourself!

The Facebook for iPhone application just got updated to version 3.1.2. It’s basically just a bug fix release. Changelog can be seen in the picture above.

The Facebook application finally got it’s long awaited Push Notification support, when the version 3.1 was released today. Also ability to sync facebook contacts with your address book was added, but according to a few blogs this feature has caused quite a lot of hassle.

So head over to the App Store and update your application to version 3.1, but do not use the Sync with Contacts function yet.

It has only been 98 days, since Apple announced that their App Store had hit 2 billion downloads. Today, it hit three billion downloads. 1 billion downloads in 98 days, means that they are selling 350 apps each second, and 10 million apps a day. According to appshopper website, there are now 128,302 apps in the App Store.

Check out the video an decide for youself!

According to a french news site, Mac4ever, we’ll see a new iPhone SDK at the event that is scheduled to January 26th or 27th. This will be the next revamp in the iPhone SDK, bringing the version number up to 4.0. What will also be included in the SDK, is a Tablet Simulator for the upcoming Apple Tablet which could possibly be called the iSlate. Check out the translation after the break.
