HTC has posted a video on YouTube of the HTC EVO(previously called HTC Supersonic). On a hardware level, this is THE phone to get. It comes with a 4.3″ capacitive display, 8 megapixel primary camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing video conferencing camera, 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, HDMI-out, GPS, WiFi and WiMAX.

A few days ago HTC released an update that fixed a problem with viewing Facebook albums on their HD2. Today, HTC released the same fix for the HTC Touch Pro2.

This update for your phone’s Facebook client restores the ability to view your friends’ photo albums.

Installation Instructions:

Note: This update is applicable to all ROM versions.

Follow the instructions below to download and install the update on your device:

  1. Make sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync® installed on your Windows XP PC or Windows Mobile Device Center on your Windows Vista® PC. You can find Microsoft ActiveSync from this link or Windows Mobile Device Center from this link.
  2. Connect and synchronize your device with your PC via Microsoft ActiveSync® or Windows Mobile Device Center using the USB cable.
  3. To download this update select the update below and the location closest to you then click Download.
  4. Copy the update, which is an .exe file, to your device. To install the update, tap the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: If you perform a device hard reset, you will need to reinstall the update after the hard reset.

Microsoft has said that the HTC HD2 will not be getting the Windows Phone 7 Series update. One reason for this is that the HTC HD2 doesn’t have the required three button layout.

Until Microsoft releases an official Windows Phone 7 Series update for the HTC HD2 you can take a look at the video and keep on dreaming :)

Update for HTC HD2 Java Message Pop up

This update for HTC HD2 prevents javascript messages from automatically opening when the message notification pops up. This will prevent your phone from opening unwanted and unwelcome applications that are sent to you.

Update for HTC HD2 Facebook Albums

Remember that touch screen comparison a few months ago? People were saying that the test was flawed due to human error. Well guess what? The same test is now done with a robot controlling the finger! So this time around you can’t actually blame the results on anything other than poor/good display quality. This time they have also done the test on a Palm Pre and Storm 2, in addition to the “old” Apple iPhone, HTC Droid Eris, Motorola Droid and Google Nexus One.

HTC Heros around the world will start to receive their long awaited Android 2.1 (Eclair) update, starting from next week. The updates will start to roll out in Scandinavia on April 2nd.
