Acer Iconia A200 - Acer Ring

Acer came forward with their plans to update the A100 and A500 tablets to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in April. The update is currently being delivered to A200 tablets in the United States. The Acer Ring launcher will also be included in the update.

The new update of Android 4.0 also includes several new features that are unique to Acer tablets. The updated tablets will now feature the highly-customizable Acer Ring, making it incredibly natural and easy to get instant access to favorite apps and features. Nokia Belle was released for a bunch of devices last week. However, the Nokia 500 didn’t get the update back then, but now a MyNokiaBlog tipster claims that the update is live for Nokia 500 owners.

The exact software version of this update is 111.20.59. The update can be installed via the Nokia Software Updater or Nokia Suite. As with every other update, it will take some time for the update to be available everywhere.

Edit: It’s official. Nokia Conversations just confirmed that the update is live.

Nokia Belle February 7

Nokia Belle February 8 (Google Translated text)

Nokia Vietnam has updated their local site with information of Nokia Belle (previously Symbian Belle). There is now a whole page dedicated to the update, and it states that the download will be available on February 8. Now we don’t know if this is a worldwide release, but I’d bet that at least some other countries will get it simultaneously with Vietnam.

The image shows that the following phones will receive the update to Nokia Belle: Nokia N8, E7, X7, E6, E7 (twice) and C6-01. The Nokia 500 appears to be missing from the list. Could it be that Nokia Vietnam didn’t get the updated memo where the Nokia 500 was added?

Just one week to go, so stay tuned!
