French and Italian Motorola Milestone users have started receiving the Android 2.0.1 update. Currently it is only available in those two countries, but the rest of Europe should follow shortly.

Motorola updated quite a lot in this update: including improvements to the camera autofocus and speed, added Microsoft Exchange support, touch gestures, three-way call connectivity and in-call audio quality, new equalizer, 3D landscape viewing mode for the photo gallery and music player.

Motorola Droid is getting a small OTA update as I write. No info on a changelog yet.

HTC HD2 today received a small update to its SMS software. No info on what the bug was, but it has something to do with SMS. The update is only available/needed if your current firmware version is 1.66.xxx.x or below.

Finally, the Nokia 5800 got a firmware update that brings kinetic scrolling to the phone. The new software version is 40.0.005, and should be available either via NSU(Nokia software update) or OTA(over-the-air). Get it while its hot! And, don’t forget to make a backup of your device before updating ;)


European Palm Pre users today received a firmware update. Open up your Updates program and hit the Download button to obtain the update. Full changelog after the break.


Verizon branded HTC Touch Pro 2 and HTC Ozone today started receiving updates to Windows Mobile 6.5. The update can be obtained by following one of the following links:

Nokia’s firmware department has been active in the past few days. Today they released a firmware update to the Nokia E72, which pumps the version of the phone up to 22.007.

No changelog for the moment of writing. As always, remember to make a backup of your phone before updating. Currently, the update is available by using the OTA update feature of your phone.


Also the Nokia N86 today received a firmware update, which pumps the version up to 21.006. Same thing as with the N900 update, no changelog is still known. And as always with firmware updates, remember to do a backup of the phone before updating.
