Here’s the new ‘Will it Blend?’ with the iPhone 4S going in the blender.

Hot on the heels of the iPhone 4S launch, the Apple rumors just keep on coming. The newest is of the iPad 3, which is allegedly going into production before the end of this year.

Susquehanna Financial analyst Jeff Fidacaro told about the company’s market analysis to AllThingsD. According to their report, Apple has increased their fourth quarter iPad builds to between 12 and 14 million from 11 to 13 million. The increased quota is due to the iPad 3 production. An early manufacturing like this could indicate that we’ll see the iPad 3 released in early 2012.

Apple has finally released iOS 5 to excisting iOS users. As usual, the update is free of charge, and available via iTunes now. According to Apple, the update brings over 200 new features. The most important of these are iMessage, Newsstand, the new notification system and Twitter integration. iOS 5 also brings OTA updates to the platform, so from now on, you shouldn’t need to connect your iPhone to a computer in order to receive an update.

Early benchmarks show that the iPhone 4S has a dual-core 800MHz A5 CPU inside of it. Speed-wise it is actually faster than the Galaxy S II, which comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. Apparently you can do quite much with just optimizing the CPU for a specific OS :)

iPhone 4S

Apple released today a brief statement that their new iPhone 4S has sold over 1 million units during day one of sales. AT&T has earlier informed that the carrier sold 200,000 units in 12 hours, but this new figure is all carriers combined, and during the first 24 hours.

By comparison, the iPhone 4 sold 600,000 units during day one. The iPhone 4 also generated 1.7 million sales in three days, while the iPhone 3GS did 1 million in the same time.

iPhone 4S Sample image

Apple has released the first set of sample images taken with the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S has an 8-megapixel backlit camera with a max aperture value of 2.4, and a sensor size of 1/3.2″.

I would like to see how this camera does in low-light conditions. All of the sample images posted here are shot in perfect light conditions, hence giving you a false idea of how the camera actually performs.
