Nokia Siemens Networks today announced the addition of 1X Advanced to their current portfolio of CDMA base station technologies.

When 1X Advanced is fully deployed, it will allow network operators to improve call quality, coverage and energy efficiency. This new technology will also be able to handle three times the volume of voice and data traffic, eventually resulting in more users being able to access a base station at even higher speeds.

Nokia Siemens Networks says that for operators to receive all of the above, they’ll just need to upgrade a board on existing base stations. The new 1X Advanced boards will ship in volume by the end of this year.

Times of India Nokia 900

Times of India w/ Nokia Lumia 900

Stats are usually a good place to go looking for new devices. Today we get stats from an app called Times of India, and there’s at least two very interesting products in there!

First we have the Nokia Champagne, that has made log appearances earlier. Some believe this is the Nokia Lumia 800, but with LTE and Windows Phone Tango. The second is way more interesting, and I’m’ talking about the Nokia Lumia 900!

So far we don’t really know when the Lumia 900 is going to be released, and with what specs. But judging by its product name we can conclude that it is going to be Nokia’s flagship, and this can be juicy! Let’s hope we get an announcement at CES 2012!

Together with these, we also got a hint of new OS versions. We actually have 4 future builds in there, 7.10.8104, 7.10.8058, 7.10.8088, and 7.10.8725. The first three are probably of the Tango branch, while the last one is an Apollo build. Hit View Post to see their evidence.
