Reuters reports that the Nokia E7 will not be available during this year. It has been delayed till early 2011, which translates into anything before April 2011.
We’ve heard rumors of a January 10th launch in for instance the UK. Here in Finland it is also scheduled to be available at retailers in January 2011. Could it be so that those who have pre-ordered it from Nokia will still receive it before the end of this year?
Nokia just announced that they will cut up to 800 jobs from their offices in Finland. This is in addition to the 1,800 positions cut worldwide from their Symbian division. The new cuts in Finland will start to take place in January, 2011. Nokia offers a severance package of 5-15 months, depending on how long the worker has worked at Nokia.
Apple’s annual Christmas promotion is now open for registrations. Between December 26th and January 6th, Apple will give out one free item a day from one of their stores (iTunes, App Store). This could be a free game, app, music, movies, TV episodes or books. Last year there was some pretty cool stuff, and I don’t think that they will give out total crap this year either.
The promotion is currently at least available in the UK, but last year it worked in most parts of Europe. Head over to http://www.itunes12daysofchristmas.co.uk/ and enter your e-mail address to be informed when the first app is available.
Microsoft has really done a good job with the whole ‘Really’ ad-series. I’ve personally enjoyed them a lot, with the Bathroom Really being my personal favorite :)
The Time has ranked the top 10 TV commercials for this year, and the Really ad got a 5th place. The first place was taken by Old Spice, which is really good. Hit View Post to see the Top 10 TV Commercials for 2010.
Telus made the headlines a few weeks ago with them offering a free Xbox 360 to users who bought a new Windows Phone 7. However, they only had like 100 Xboxes available, so it was a very limited offer.
Now they will do things differently. Telus is offering a free Xbox 360 with every new Windows Phone 7 purchase between December 15th – 19th. If and when they run out of Xboxes they will still take the order, and ship the free Xbox later on. This is one very nice offer from Telus! You’ll of course need to sign a 3-year contract with them, but who wouldn’t do that for a free Xbox 360. Congratulations to everyone who lives in Canada ;)
