Last week, when the first iPhone 5 reviews hit the internet, it was widely reported that the device is running at 1.0GHz. However, an update to Geekbench has actually shown that the iPhone 5′s dual-cores run at 1.3GHz each. The iPhone 5 is apparently capable of adjusting the clock speed from 550MHz to 1.3GHz. This comes handy when the phone goes into power saving mode. A lower clock speed means lower power consumption.
