Mango with IM

Today is a great day for Windows Phone 7 rumors. Earlier today we learned about some new features that will come in the Mango update, like Bing AV search, turn-by-turn navigation and voice-to-text.

Now, we have yet another new feature, which is Instant Messaging. This will be done by Windows Live Messenger integration in the People hub. Also when sending a text message, a user should be able to choose whether it will go out as a real SMS or as an instant message via Live.

The image above is from a build of Windows Phone 7.5, but it doesn’t include the new IM feature.

The update just keeps on getting better. I can’t wait to get my fingers on this!
