Yesterday we wrote that UK retailer Expansys had cancelled pre-orders for the 64GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S III. This led many to believe that the largest variant in the Galaxy S III family had been cancelled by Samsung. Luckily this wasn’t case, and Samsung has confirmed that a 64GB variant will ship later this year.

Android Central got the following statement from a Samsung representative:

The 64GB model of the GALAXY S III will be available during the second half of this year. The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release.

So a slight delay and not everyone will be able to get the 64GB Galaxy S III. Samsung didn’t clarify on which regions will get this massive internal storage alternative.
