Sprint HTC Evo 4G Firmware Update Available – Android 2.2 On Board

As expected, Sprint today released Android 2.2 for the HTC Evo 4G. To obtain this, hit Settings -> Software Updates -> Firmware Updates.

With Froyo, you’ll get a much improved overall performance due to the new JIT (just in time) compiler, faster JavaScript performance, Bluetooth voice dialing, Flash 10.1 support, app installation on microSD cards, better Exchange support, WiFi hotspot tethering and a preloaded Flashlight app.
