Check out this comparison video of four different screen technologies.

You can see the following screens tested in the video above:

  • Motorola Milestone with a LCD panel
  • Nexus One with an AMOLED panel
  • HTC Desire with a Super LCD panel
  • Samsung Wave with a Super AMOLED panel

Personally I like the Super AMOLED screen the most. Would be cool to see the iPhone 4s Retina Display in this same test.

Samsung today announced two new phones with their bada OS. These will feature-wise be little-brothers to the current Samsung Wave (S8500), and both phones will lack 3G support.

The Wave 525 (previously Wave 2) and Wave 533 (Wave 2 Pro) will have quad-band GSM support, a 3.2″ WQVGA TFT LCD touch screen, 3MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11n, A-GPS, an accelerometer, ActiveSync support, Samsung Social Hub, TouchWiz 3.0, Dolfin Browser 2.0, Samsung Apps, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, music player with SoundAlive, 80MB internal memory, microSD card slot with support for a 16GB card and a 1,200 mAh battery.

The Wave 533 will have a sliding QWERTY-keyboard, while the Wave 525 has only a touch screen. Both devices should be available in Russia in Sempteber. International availability is still unkown. The Wave 525 will retail for $300, and the Wave 533 for $331.

Windows Phone 7 With Sense

An anonymous tipster sent the pic above to pocketnow, and he/she claims that it is how Sense UI will look on Windows Phone 7.

Microsoft has previously stated that UI customization can’t be done in any other way than by customizing the way tiles look in WP7. In the picture above you can see the clock with Sense, and also the weather tile in a Sense flavor. Keep in mind that this is just a rumor, and for instance the star-fog on the right side doesn’t look that professional. Also the background color on the clock tile is a little bit off.

What would you say if you could get a Nokia 5230 or a Nokia X6 with a Android on board? Someone in the marketing department of Three Mobile UK thinks that it is possible.

The ad above appeared earlier today on Oxford Street in London, UK. Pretty good marketing snafu from Three, since Nokia has previously told that there will not be a Nokia phone running Android in the near future.

iPhone 4

Apple today issued a press release of the international availability of the iPhone 4. They will release it in 17 additional countries this Friday. The new countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 capable device has leaked. Specs for this unknown device are as follows:

  • 3.7″ SLCD screen (Sony’s ‘Super TFT LCD’)
  • 3 touch-sensitive buttons underneath the screen
  • 8MP camera - Without Flash?
  • 1GHz Snapdragon Processor
  • No visible HTC customizations

Sounds like a HTC Desire but with WP7 on board. Hit View Post to see the rest of the pictures.

Browser war between an iPhone 3GS and Samsung’s prototype Windows Phone 7 device called Taylor.

Keep in mind that WP7 isn’t a final version in this video.

iPhone 4 White

Apple on Friday issued a short press release to let us know that the white iPhone 4 has yet again been delayed. Previously Apple said that we’ll get the white version before the end of this month. Now Apple didn’t give a specific release timeframe for the white iPhone 4 availability, it will just be released later this year.

White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not posting anything in the previous two days. I had a friends bachelor party and obviously couldn’t write on the blog during it.

But now I’m back! Enjoy :)
